Work is under way to regenerate a prominent yet currently derelict site in Leuchars. The area of ground - close to the rail station car park and signal box - features little more than an area of scrub and a small length of disused railway track.
However, all that is set to change thanks to the efforts of school pupils in conjunction with Leuchars Community Council and the local ranger service.
They are set to spruce up the area before planting a mix of native trees.
A range of wildlife improvements will also be made, with bird nests and insect houses among the proposed features.
