Guiders' long service honours

Three Leuchars Guiders have been awarded long service badges totalling 45 years between them. Dawn Doherty, District Commissioner for Lucklaw, received her 20 years long service badge. As well as recently being appointed District Commissioner, Dawn is an assistant Guider with Leuchars Brownies and is Guider in charge of Leuchars Guides.

Dawn's twin sister Kim Carr, who recently gave up her role as District Commissioner after 12 years, was also presented with her 20 year badge. Kim is currently Brown Owl with Leuchars Brownies (Guider in charge) and is Raindrop within Leuchars Rainbows (Guider in charge).

Donna Atkinson was awarded her five-year long service badge. Donna was originally an Assistant Guider with Leuchars Brownies, but transfered to the Leuchars Rainbows last year when they were short of Guides.

Dawn was presented with her badge at the annual awards ceremony held in Kirkcaldy. As District Commissioner, Dawn then presented Kim and Donna with their awards in front of the Rainbows and Brownies.
