Fair trade market
A new fair trade venture has been set up in Leuchars. ?Simply Fair? has been formed by a group of local women who care about the environment, a better quality of life and a fair deal for everyone.
The group aims to make fairly traded items, as well as local produce and goods more readily available to Leuchars residents.
A spokesperson said: ?An ethical way of life doesn?t necessarily have to be a less enjoyable one, and we hope to prove this by showcasing and making it easier to buy the wide range of quality local and fairly traded goods available to us.?
Tomorrow (Saturday), the group is organising the first of what they hope will be a monthly market in the village.
The market will be held in the Coachhouse Centre, Main Street, Leuchars, from 10am to 1pm and will br attended by local farmers, a jewellery maker and a local artist.
Anyone who would like more information or would be interested in having a stall at a future market should contact Lisa Main on 01334 848308.
