Kight of great music from Ross. Young Tuba player Ross Knight will be performing a fund-raising concert in St Athernase Church, Leuchars. The concert is being held to raise funds for the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britian in which he is the principal tuba player. Ross will be joined on the evening by his sister Sarah who will perform on euphonium and his brother Craig who will play xylophone and tuba. The trio will be accompanied by their teacher Michael Robertson on piano.
Ross has played with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain (NYO) for the past two seasons and leaves the orchestra in August to take up his place at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
It costs £1.4 million to run the NYO each year and each of the 170 plus players has been asked to raise £100 to assist with the ongoing work.
This will be Ross's last opportunity to perform solo locally before moving to London to take up his studies.
Entry on the evening will be by donation at the door.
Anyone who would like to support Ross can visit his just giving page and donate online.
