RAF Leuchars was my first station when posted there on Jan 4 1984,27 Sqn RAF Regt was my new play ground. As a 17 year old I was very nervous about how things would pan out so far from my native South Wales! If I knew then what I Knew now, I would have had no worries. What a fantastic place Leuchars was to me. The locals in the Bowling alley soon became known on first name terms and some as good friends! The village was always a friendly place to pop up to and would usually end up in a chat and a laugh! I am horrified to note that it has been nearly 23 years since I left.. I believe that some of my old Amigos are still there, Mr Grimshaw in Gardbridge I think, Stu in Leuchars?????
